HL Deb 11 November 1976 vol 377 c829

[No.38.]

Clause 19, page 22, line 20, leave out from ("register") to end of line 22.

10.57 p.m.

Lord WINTERBOTTOM

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 38. There was resistance in the Commons to one aspect of Clause 19, on the grounds that it constituted a diminution in the information about directors available at Companies House, and the Government decided to withdraw it. This is the reason for this Amendment, which is not of the same weight as earlier ones.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment. (Lord Winterbottom.)
