§ 7.15 p.m.
§ Lord DONALDSON of KINGSBRIDGEMy Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 25 to 31 en bloc. These make changes in the provisions of Part III of the Bill which relates to unlawful discrimination. Amendments Nos. 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31 are all technical or drafting Amendments. Amendment No. 25 clarifies Clause 24(4) by omitting some words which, on consideration, were thought to be unnecessary. Amendment No. 26 is designed to ensure that only where a complaint of discrimination may be brought to a court under another enactment is the Fair Employment Agency precluded from investigating that complaint. I beg to move.
Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.—(Lord Donaldson of Kingsbridge.)
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
