§ Whether they will give the figures regionally, of the school leavers who are unemployed and the period of unemployment, distinguishing between boys and girls.
§ Lord JACQUESRegional totals of school leavers under age 18 registered as unemployed on 10th June were as follows:

Boys Girls Total South-East and East Anglia 15,552 11,189 26,741 South-West 4,986 3,663 8,649 I regret that the statistics analysing the unemployed register by age and duration of unemployment, which are collected half-yearly (in January and July) do not distinguish school leavers from other unemployed persons.
