HL Deb 06 April 1976 vol 369 c1640

[No. 15]

Clause 3, page 4, line 9, at end insert— Provided that any such alteration which is made during the year 1976–77, in a case where the caravan site would have been treated as such a single unit of lands and heritages as from 1st April 1976 if this Act had been in force on that date, shall have effect as from that date.

Baroness BIRK

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 15. The purpose of this Amendment is to ensure that for sites valued as a single unit when the Bill is enacted the valuation will have effect for the whole of the rating year 1976–77. This is the Scottish equivalent to Amendment No. 3, to which I have already spoken. I beg to move.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Baroness Birk.)
