HL Deb 30 October 1975 vol 365 c704

[Nos. 9 and 10]

Clause 1, page 2, line 32, at end insert ("and other property").

Clause 1, page 2, line 36, after ("equipment") insert ("and other property").

Lord LOVELL-DAVIS

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 9 and 10. With interests in manufacturing industry, it is possible that the Agency will find themselves in a position where there are new products or processes which they wish to exploit by the sale of patents and know-how. The Amendments ensure that the Agency's powers in this respect are clear and that their ability to acquire, make available for hire or dispose of property goes beyond tangible assets such as machinery, plant and equipment. My Lords, I beg to move.

Moved, that this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.—(Lord Lovell-Davis.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
