My Lords, I beg leave to introduce a Bill to make provision for Scotland for the holding of public inquiries in respect of fatal accidents, deaths of persons in legal custody, sudden, suspicious and unexplained deaths and deaths occurring in circumstances giving rise to serious public concern. I beg to move that this Bill be now read a first time.
