HL Deb 24 July 1975 vol 363 c520

[No. 2]

Clause 16, page 12, line 32, leave out subsection (2).

Lord HARRIS of GREENWICH

My Lords, I beg to move that the House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 2. This is merely a drafting Amendment to take account of the fact that the local government reorganisation in Scotland formally took effect on 16th May and it is, in consequence, no longer necessary to define "building authority" and "local authority" in terms of the relevant statutory provisions applying before 16th May. I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 2.

Moved, That the House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Lord Harris of Greenwich.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
