HL Deb 19 February 1975 vol 357 c286
Baroness LLEWELYN-DAVIES of HASTOE

My Lords, with the leave of the House I should like to make a short statement about tomorrow's business. The House will remember that we cut short the Committee stage of the Children Bill last Thursday because of travel difficulties both for noble Lords and the staff, and I understand that further difficulties are anticipated tomorrow, when we are to take the same Bill again. Your Lordships will know that this is a very important Bill and that the House wants to make good progress. It has therefore been agreed through the usual channels that we should finish the Committee stage tomorrow night. I hope that this prior notice will enable noble Lords who are taking part in the discussion on the Bill to make satisfactory arrangements. I do not anticipate that the House will have to sit very late, but I have arranged for dinners to be available in any case.
