HL Deb 03 February 1975 vol 356 c670
The MINISTER of STATE, DEPARTMENT of EDUCATION and SCIENCE (Lord CROWTHER-HUNT)

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill be now read a third time.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 3a.—(Lord Crowther-Hunt.)

Lord ELTON

My Lords, looking through Hansard I find that, since all my remarks were aimed at trying to improve the effectiveness of this Bill, I failed to make it clear that we on this side of the House are in sympathy with and welcome its general provisions as regards residential students and the 85 per cent, grant. I should like to put that on Record.

On Question, Bill read 3a, with the Amendments, and passed, and returned to the Commons.
