§ Baroness LLEWELYN-DAVIES of HASTOEMy Lords, with the leave of the House I will make a Statement about the Christmas Recess. Subject to the progress of Business, it is proposed that the House will rise on Friday, 19th December, and return on Tuesday, 13th January. Perhaps I might say a word of explanation about this. The Sitting on Friday, 19th December, will be a formal one for the purpose of taking the Consolidated Fund Bill and Royal Assent. Since Thursday's Sitting will be the last full day before the Recess, it has been agreed through the usual channels that the House should sit at 11 o'clock in the morning of that day.
Earl ST. ALDWYNMy Lords, may I ask the noble Baroness one point? She said that the House will sit at 11 o'clock on the Friday, but I hone the House will also sit at 11 o'clock on the Thursday.
§ Baroness LLEWELYN-DAVIES of HASTOEMy Lords, I think the noble Earl has misunderstood me. I said that the House will sit at 11 o'clock on Thursday. I am afraid I cannot at the moment say exactly what time we shall sit on Friday because we are not quite sure when we shall receive the Business we need from another place. I hope it will be in the morning.
