The LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, with the leave of the House, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 1 and 2 en bloc. Like the Bill which follows, it is a purely consolidation Bill. These Amendments reflect the coming into operation on 1st May of the Solicitors Act 1974. It is necessary to insert in this Bill references to that Act in place of the Solicitors Act 1957.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
