§ LORD BROCKWAYMy Lords, I beg leave to introduce a Bill to amend the Race Relations Act 1968; to extend the scope of the said Act; to confer new functions and powers on the Race Relations Board for the investigation of suspected unlawful discrimination; to extend the remedies which may be granted by the Courts under the said Act; and for purposes connected with those matters. I beg to move that the Bill be now read a first time.
