§ THE LORD CHANCELLOR (LORD ELWYN-JONES)My Lords, I have to inform your Lordships that the Lord Great Chamberlain received yesterday evening the following Message from Her Majesty the Queen:
"Lord Great Chamberlain, I was very greatly shocked by the explosion in Westminster Hall this morning. I am very distressed about the injuries and damage that this has caused. Please convey my regret to the Lord Chancellor and the Speaker. Elizabeth Regina."
My Lords, I am sure that it would be your Lordships' wish that I should return on behalf of this House an appropriate message of thanks to Her Majesty for Her gracious message.
