HL Deb 01 July 1974 vol 353 c7

2.47 p.m.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR (LORD ELWYN-JONES)

My Lords, I understand that no Amendment has been set down to this Bill and that no noble Lord wishes to move a manuscript Amendment or to speak to a clause or Schedule. I therefore beg to move that the Order of Recommitment be discharged. At this point I should inform your Lordships that this is purely a Consolidation Bill. The Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills are of the opinion that the Bill, as amended, represents the existing law and there is no point to which the attention of Parliament should be drawn. I beg to move that the Order of Recommitment be discharged.

Moved, That the Order of Recommitment be discharged.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
