LORD KENNET asked Her Majesty's Government:

If, as appears from the Written Answer of 17th July, the Department of Trade and Industry do not know where the oil-rigs are in sectors of the North Sea other than the British, how they expect mariners to avoid them.

My Lords, information promulgated by the Hydro-graphic Offices of the countries concerned, and also by the Hydrographer to the Royal Navy, enables mariners to keep their charts up to date.
