HL Deb 21 May 1973 vol 342 cc969-70
LORD MOWBRAY AND STOURTON

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill be now considered on Report.

Moved, That the Bill be now considered on Report.—(Lord Mowbray and Stourton.)

LORD HUGHES

My Lords, I wonder whether the noble Lord can give a little information about this Bill, and also about the following Bill. I myself have no doubts about this matter but, because of the interest in oil in the Shetlands, I gather that some noble Lords may be under a misapprehension as to the pur- poses of the Lerwick Order. It might be helpful if the noble Lord gave some explanation of the purposes of these two Confirmation Bills.

LORD MOWBRAY AND STOURTON

My Lords, in reply to the noble Lord, Lord Hughes, the purpose of the Order scheduled to this Bill is to authorise the Mallaig Harbour Authority to carry out works for the improvement of the harbour and to borrow money for the undertaking.

On Question, Motion agreed to.
