My Lords, on behalf of my noble friend the Leader of the House I beg to move the Motion which stands in his name on the Order Paper.

Moved, That Standing Order No. 38 (Arrangement of the Order Paper) be suspended until the House rises for the Whitsun Recess for the purpose of giving Government Business, except with the consent of the Government, precedence over other Business; and that Standing Order No. 44 (No two stages of a Bill to be taken on one day) be suspended during the same period.—(Earl St. Aldwyn.)
