HL Deb 19 March 1973 vol 340 c527

2.51 p.m.

THE MINISTER OF STATE, HOME OFFICE (VISCOUNT COLVILLE OF CULROSS)

My Lords, there has been a slight mishap on the Order Paper. Apart from the somewhat curious italic in my name there is the transmutation of the word "of". It was my intention to give notice to discharge the Committee on this Bill and I hope that the House will take that notice as having been given, despite the fact that it got to the bottom of the list instead of appearing immediately after the Order relating to the Committee stage of this Bill. I do understand, my Lords, that no Amendments have been set down to this Bill and that no noble Lord has indicated a wish to move a manuscript Amendment or to speak in Committee. Unless, therefore, any noble Lord objects. I beg to move, pursuant to Standing Order No. 45(2), that the Order of Commitment be discharged.

Moved, pursuant to Standing Order No. 45(2), that the Order of Commitment be discharged.—(Viscount Colville of Culross.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
