THE EARL OF LIMERICK

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 60. The effect of this Amendment will be that the Bill, when enacted, will be entitled the "Insurance Companies Amendment Act 1973", rather than the "Insurance Companies Act 1973". The purpose is merely to reserve the latter title for the Consolidation Act which will bring together the 1958, 1967 and 1973 Acts which it is hoped might be enacted before the turn of the year.
