EARL ST. ALDWYNMy Lords, on behalf of my noble and learned friend the Lord Chancellor I beg leave to introduce a Bill to provide for the reform of the statute law by the repeal, in accordance with recommendations of the Law Commission and the Scottish Law Commission, of certain enactments which, except so far as their effect is preserved, 157 are no longer of practical utility. I beg to move that this Bill be now read a first time.
