VISCOUNT COLVILLE OF CULROSSMy Lords, I beg to move the Motion standing in my name on the Order Paper.
§ Moved, That the Draft Parliamentary Constituencies (Daventry, Wellingborough and Northampton) Order 1973, laid before the House on January 24 be approved.—(Viscount Colville of Culross.)
§ LORD HOYMy Lords, this Order caused some little trouble, if no other did, and when one is dealing with Parliamentary boundaries one can be dealing with trouble. I remember a case of my own when an adjustment of the boundary very nearly meant being adjusted out. This is a serious business. One can understand the difficulties with Northampton, but having said that may I say that we raise no objection to this Order at this time.
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
