HL Deb 08 February 1973 vol 338 c1234

7.53 p.m.

LORD DENHAM

My Lords, before we adjourn, I should like to make a short statement about the supply of memoranda relating to the Report of the Criminal Law Revision Committee. This afternoon my noble friend the Leader of the House, in response to a question by the noble Lord, Lord Shackleton, undertook to see whether arrangements could be made for memoranda published by individual organisations to be made available to Members of the House before the debate on Wednesday on the Report in question. I understand that only three organisations who submitted memoranda have had them published. Of these, there are already copies of the Bar Council's memoranda available in the Printed Paper Office. Efforts will be made tomorrow to obtain copies of the memoranda of the other organisations concerned.

LORD BESWICK

My Lords, I am sure we are very grateful to the noble Lord for giving us that information, and we appreciate the speedy action taken by the Leader of the House.

House adjourned at six minutes before eight o'clock.
