LORD SHACKLETON

My Lords, may I ask the noble Earl when it is intended to take this Bill? Do we yet know the date when we shall take this Bill through all its stages?

EARL ST. ALDWYN

My Lords, it is not intended to take this Bill until Thursday, May 3, and I hope there will appear on the Order Paper to-night a Motion to suspend the relevant Standing Order so that all stages of the Bill can be taken in one day on that date.

LORD SHACKLETON

My Lords, I am much obliged to the noble Earl. We should wish to facilitate the passage of the Bill, but since we are breaking-up soon it is perhaps as well that people should know when it is to be taken.
