HL Deb 13 September 1972 vol 335 c328
THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (EARL JELLICOE)

My Lords, in answer to a Parliamentary Question yesterday my noble friend Lady Tweedsmuir of Belhelvie indicated that the Government would be making a Statement to-day on the Uganda Asians. I reviewed the position to-day, and in the interests of providing the most up-to-date information I could for your Lordships, especially before our weekend break, it has been agreed through the usual channels that the Statement should be deferred until to-morrow. I hope that this is agreeable to your Lordships.
