EARL FERRERSMy Lords, I beg to move, That the Eggs (Protection of Guarantees) Order 1972 be approved. The Order merely allows to continue the existing support arrangements for eggs, but permits subsidy to be paid on all eggs, including those in the category of extra small which previously were excluded. This category accounts for less than one per cent. of all first-quality eggs. That is the purpose of the Order, and I beg to move that it be approved.
