LORD JANNERMy Lords, I beg leave to introduce a Bill to provide for the control of zoological gardens, to make provision for the care of animals therein; and for purposes connected therewith. I should explain that this Bill is in substitution for the Control of Zoological Gardens Bill which I introduced earlier this Session. Accordingly, if the Motion for the First Reading of this Bill is agreed to I will ask leave to withdraw 1088 my original Bill. I beg to move that this Bill be now read a first time.
