§ THE LORD CHANCELLORMy Lords, I rise to move that this Bill be now read a second time. It is a small Consolidation Bill under the 1949 Consolidation of Enactments (Procedure) Act. It is accompanied by the usual Memorandum explaining why certain minor corrections and improvements in the law 16 are desirable. The Bill will be examined by a Joint Committee in the usual way.
