My Lords, I beg leave to ask Her Majesty's Government a Question of which I have given Private Notice.

The Question is as follows:

Whether in the light of the representation of the West German Government, Her Majesty's Government will make a Statement on the assurances they have received from the Brussels Commission that the regional policies of Her Majesty's Government embodied in legislation now before Parliament are acceptable to the Commission.
