HL Deb 24 February 1972 vol 328 cc673-4
LORD DENHAM

My Lords, with the leave of the House, my noble friend the Leader of the House will be making a Statement on the proposed relaxation of electricity restrictions at a convenient moment after 3.30 p.m. It may also be convenient to your Lordships to know that snacks will be available to-night.

SEVERAL NOBLE LORDS

Heavy?

LORD DENHAM

My Lords, I am told that, in new of the extremely good effort of the Refreshment Department last night at short notice, the snacks may not be quite so heavy as your Lordships may wish.

LORD SHACKLETON

My Lords, in thanking the noble Lord for his Statement, I should like to echo the gratitude of the House—or at least those Members of the House who were here at a quarter past two this morning.

LORD DENHAM

My Lords, I am grateful to the noble Lord the Leader of the Opposition.
