THE EARL OF SELKIRKMy Lords, I beg leave to introduce a Bill to increase the amount of sums payable to a surviving spouse under Sections 8 and 9 of the Succession (Scotland) Act 1964, and 252 to empower the Secretary of State by order further to increase such amounts.
