HL Deb 07 August 1972 vol 334 cc840-1

7.32 p.m.

EARL FERRERS

My Lords, I beg to move that the Commons Amendments be now considered.

Moved, That the Commons Amendments be now considered.—(Earl Ferrers.)

EARL FERRERS

My Lords, there may appear to be a fairly formidable list of Amendments to the Bill, but I think it is fair to say that the majority of them are improvements and they do not represent any major change of substance to the Bill. Therefore perhaps it might be for the convenience of your Lordships if I move the Amendments in groups, where this is possible, briefly but I hope sufficiently, and if any noble Lord wishes to ask for more detail I shall be pleased to do my best to answer.
