HL Deb 02 August 1972 vol 334 c279

2.37 p.m.

THE MINISTER OF STATE, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL SECURITY (LORD ABERDARE)

My Lords, in resuming the Second Reading of this Bill, may I draw your Lordships' attention to the fact that the corrigendum to Schedule 1 which we promised last night is now available. I hope that we have gone some way towards meeting the point raised by the noble Lord the Leader of the Opposition, in that the words printed in italics have been added to the Schedule and the words underlined have been omitted.

My Lords, the only other thing I would mention is that any Amendments to Parts II and III of Schedule 1 will be printed by reference to the page and line number of this corrigendum which is now the correct version of the Bill.

LORD SHACKLETON

My Lords, I am obliged to the noble Lord. The Stationery Office, if they had not intended to do it in this way, are to be congratulated on responding to a request at such short notice and I should like to express my thanks to the noble Lord.

On Question, Bill read 2a, and committed to a Committee of the Whole House.
