§ [References are to Bill 93 as first printed for the Commons]
§ Clause 25, page 15, line 32, leave out ("1st March ") and insert ("12th April").
§ THE LORD CHANCELLORMy Lords, I beg to move, That the Commons Amendment be agreed to. This is a purely formal Amendment. The existing date of the Bill has passed, so our commencement of the Bill has passed. It would be somewhat bizarre if a Bill were allowed to stop before it had received the Royal Assent. The Commons have substituted a later date. I beg to move, That the House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.
§ Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(The Lord Chancellor.)
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
