HL Deb 26 July 1971 vol 323 c10
THE LORD CHANCELLOR (LORD HAILSIIAM OF ST. MARYLEBONE)

My Lords, I beg leave to introduce a Bill to consolidate certain enactments relating to road traffic with amendments to give effect to recommendations of the Law Commission and the Scottish Law Commission. The report of the Law Commissions is published to-day and is available in the Printed Paper Office. I shall not be inviting the House to give this Bill a Second Reading until it has been reintroduced next Session, but it is, I think, useful for the Bill to be available at present, at the same time as the Report to which it relates. I therefore beg to move that this Bill be now read a first time.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 1a.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Bill read la, and to be printed.
