My Lords, I beg leave to ask a Question of which I have already given Private Notice. The Question is as follows:

"To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will make a statement on the safety of British nationals in Uganda."

My Lords, with the leave of the House, my noble friend Lord Lothian will be answering this Question at a convenient moment after 3.30.

After this statement on Uganda, my noble friend the Leader of the House will be making a Statement on the Commonwealth Prime Ministers' Conference.
