§ LORD MONTAGU OF BEAULIEU had given Notice of his intention to ask Her Majesty's Government—
- (1) when the Fawley power station will be in full operation;
- (2) what was the original estimated cost of building the station;
- (3) what will be the final cost.
§ The noble Lord said: My Lords, since this Question was put on the Order Paper I have been informed that this is not a matter for a Parliamentary Question, but one which is within the day-to-day responsibility of the Central Electricity Generating Board. In view of the fact that over £100 million of taxpayers' money is involved here, I will ask the question in the right quarter and hope that I shall get the right answer.
