§ Whether they will confirm the assurance which they have recently given that Barry Buddon will remain a military training area.
§ LORD CARRINGTONSubject to the finding of the Defence Lands Committee, under the chairmanship of my noble friend Lord Nugent of Guildford, I can confirm that a military requirement exists for the Barry Buddon training area. It provides the only ranges of their kind in Scotland, and we plan to use them for many years to come.
