LORD ABERDARE

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill do now pass.

Moved, That the Bill do now pass.—(Lord Aberdare.)

BARONESS PHILLIPS

My Lords, I should like to thank the Minister for the courtesy that he has extended to this side of the House throughout the passage of this Bill. As I said earlier, we are very fond of the Minister but not very fond of his Bill. We appreciate that it is part of the package deal known as New Policies for Public Spending. I should like to reiterate our thanks for his courtesy and helpfulness.

LORD ABERDARE

My Lords, I am extremely grateful to the noble Baroness. I had not expected this ill-deserved tribute. I recognise that we had certain differences of opinion on the policy, but I am grateful for her kind remarks.

On Question, Bill passed.
