HL Deb 22 April 1971 vol 317 cc832-3

[No. 27]

Clause 37, page 26, line 18, after first "him", insert "or that the Crown Court or any other Court has excused him from jury service for a period which has not terminated".

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 27, which enables a previous excusal from jury service to operate where a person receives another jury summons during the period for which he was excused. I think I can say that this is purely technical.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
