HL Deb 01 April 1971 vol 316 c1458

3.47 p.m.

LORD WILBERFORCE

My Lords, my noble and learned friend Lord Dip-lock is unfortunately detained elsewhere on judicial business and he has asked me to move on his behalf. I understand that no Amendments have been set down to this Bill and that no noble Lord has indicated a wish to move a manuscript Amendment or speak in Committee. Therefore, unless, any noble Lord objects, on behalf of my noble friend, I beg to move, pursuant to Standing Order No. 43(2), That the Order of Commitment be discharged.

Moved, That the Order of Commitment be discharged.—(Lord Wilberforce.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Then, Standing Order No. 42 having been suspended (pursuant to the Resolution of March 30) Bill read 3a, and passed.
