My Lords, I beg leave to introduce a Bill to consolidate, so far as they are part of the law of the United Kingdom, the Coinage Acts 1870 to 1946 and certain other enactments relating to coinage, with amendments to give effect to recommendations of the Law Commission and the Scottish Law Commission. As the Title indicates, this is a Consolidation Bill with Law Commission Amendments. I beg to move that this Bill be read a first time.
