Clause 8, page 6, line 1, leave out subsections (2) and (3) and insert: (2) The account shall be delivered not later than the time at which the balance of wages is payable to the seaman. Clause 9, page 6, leave out line 43.

The Commons disagreed to these Amendments for the following Reason:

Because a seaman should not have to wait seven days before receiving an account of the wages due to him.

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth not insist on Amendments Nos. 3 and 4 to which the Commons have disagreed.
