§ LORD BESWICKMy Lords, I hope that it will not prove necessary for the House to return after to-day until Thursday, May 28, for the completion of outstanding Business. On that day a debate may arise on consideration of the Finance Bill. It is not yet possible to be certain of this, but after consultation through the usual channels I hope to make a further statement about it later to-day.
May I also say that it is intended to consider on that Thursday the Report of the Offices Committee. I mention this because the Committee meet to-day and their Report will not be available until to-morrow. It will be quite an important Report to this House, and those noble Lords who are interested may well wish to make arrangements with the Printed Paper Office to receive a copy if it.
§ LORD BOOTHBYMy Lords, arising out of that Statement, may I ask the noble Lord to bear in mind that it is rather important that this House should consider the Finance Bill before the Dissolution of Parliament?
§ LORD BESWICKThat will be taken into account, my Lords.
