THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (EARL JELLICOE)My Lords, I have to acquaint the House that Her Majesty has been pleased to create the Right Honourable Quintin McGarel Hogg, Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain, a Peer of this Realm, by the title of Baron Hailsham of Saint Marylebone, of Herstmonceux in the County of Sussex.
The Lord Chancellor, having retired to robe, was introduced as a Baron and as Lord Chancellor between the Lord Carrington and the Lord Balfour of Inchrye.
