HL Deb 30 June 1970 vol 311 c3
EARL ST. ALDWYN

My Lords, it might be convenient if I were to explain to the House how it is proposed we should take our business to-day. We shall in a moment adjourn during pleasure, to enable the Lords Commissioners to robe. We shall then proceed to the presentation of Mr. Speaker-Elect. This will be followed by the Introduction of the noble Lord, Lord Hailsham of Saint Marylebone, as Lord Chancellor and as a Peer, and after this the House will sit until 5.30, with adjournments as necessary, in order to enable noble Lords to take the Oath. My Lords, I beg to move that the House do now adjourn.

House adjourned during pleasure.

House resumed.
