§ LORD BESWICKMy Lords, with the leave of the House, I should like to make a further Statement about the Whitsun Recess. I undertook on March 19 to see whether a somewhat longer Recess was possible than the one that I then announced. Subject to the progress of business, it is now intended that we should 1109 rise on Thursday, May 21, and return on Monday, June 8.
May I also remind your Lordships that dinner arrangements have been made for tonight.
