HL Deb 16 October 1969 vol 304 cc1543-4

3.20 p.m.

THE MINISTER OF STATE, FOREIGN AND COMMONWEALTH OFFICE (LORD SHEPHERD)

My Lords, in rising on behalf of my noble friend the Leader of the House to move that the Commons Amendments and the Commons Reason for disagreeing to certain of the Lords Amendments be now considered, I think it would be for the general convenience of the House if, with your Lordships' leave, we were to take in one Motion both the Commons Amendments and the Lords Amendments to which the Commons have disagreed. This would obviate what would otherwise be a very complicated way of proceeding and would mean that there would be only one question before the House. If that be the wish of the House, then I beg to move.

Moved, That the Commons Amendments and Reason be now considered.—(Lord Shepherd.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

COMMONS REASON FOR DISAGREEING TO CERTAIN OF THE LORDS AMENDMENTS, COMMONS AMENDMENTS IN LIEU OF ONE OF THE LORDS AMENDMENTS, COMMONS CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS, AND COMMONS AMENDMENTS TO WORDS RESTORED TO THE BILL
