HL Deb 26 November 1969 vol 305 c1249

THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (LORD SHACKLETON)

My Lords, with the leave of the House, I should like to make a brief Personal Statement. At the end of yesterday's proceedings I referred to a report from the Procedure Committee about noble Lords speaking after the Minister has replied to an Unstarred Question. I am afraid that I inadvertently misled the House since I am informed that no such Report has been made, although this question has been discussed and is under active consideration at the moment. I am afraid that it was this knowledge which led me into the error of saying that the Committee had, in fact, reported. While adhering to the general principles of what I stated last night, I should like to apologise for an inaccurate statement.
