Baroness SEROTA

My Lords, with the leave of the House I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 1 to 9 en bloc, as the changes which these Amendments involve in the Bill since it was reported to the House are very minor ones. They are all based on what I hope your Lordships will agree is the reasonable consideration that references to nurses registered in the different parts of the register and, in future, references to nurses enrolled in the different parts of the roll should all be in the same form. It is these changes in drafting which have necessitated the Amendments to Clause 2 of the Bill, which deals with the General Nursing Council for England and Wales; to Clause 3, which deals with the General Nursing Council for Scotland; and to the definitions in Schedule 1. My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 1 to 9.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.—(Baroness Serota.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
