HL Deb 24 July 1969 vol 304 cc1077-8

House in Committee (on Recommitment): Clauses and Schedule agreed to.

House resumed: Bill reported without amendment; Report received.

Then, Standing Order No. 41 having been suspended (pursuant to the Resolution of July 14), Bill read 3a.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR (Lord Gardiner)

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill do now pass. This is another Consolidation Bill for which we are grateful to the Joint Committee, who concluded their Report by saying that they. … are of the opinion that the Bill consolidates the existing law with such corrections and minor improvements as can properly be authorised under the Consolidation of Enactments (Procedure) Act 1949 and they consider that there is no point to which the attention of Parliament ought to be drawn. My Lords, I beg to move.

Moved, That the Bill do now pass.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Bill passed, and sent to the Commons.
